A new era began on Friday, as Keystone College’s women’s golf team played its first match in program history, falling 4-0 to Marywood University in match play at the Scranton Municipal Golf Course.
The Pacers remained unbeaten this fall by winning all four contests on the par 72, 6,274-yard course against the Giants, who had four golfers playing the first matches of their collegiate careers.
Christiane Lowcher defeated freshman Nicole Frascati 1-up while Mariah Casey and Juliet Lepri were victorious over seniors Jenna Moranski and Shauna Menzella by identical, 9 & 7 scores.
Kim Geary topped freshman Halle Stalsitz 10 & 8 to round out the contests.
Keystone is currently scheduled to return to the links in the spring, though additional matches could be added later this fall.
