Keystone College volleyball players Malley Bowen and Pamela Heitman were both honored when the Colonial States Athletic Conference announced its first weekly award winners of the year.
Bowen was named the league’s Player of the Week while Heitman was chosen to the Defensive Player of the Week Honor Roll.
Bowen earned weekly Player of the Week laurels after a strong all-around weekend in which she led Keystone to a 2-1 mark at the Morrisville State Tournament to open the season.
The sophomore setter dished out a team-high 72 assists (8.0/set) and posted an impressive, .519 hitting percentage with 16 kills to go along with 19 digs, four aces and three blocks.
She was also named to the All-Tournament Team for her performance.
Heitman was selected to the CSAC Defensive Player of the Week Honor Roll after helping pace Keystone to a pair of wins in its first three games of the season.
The junior libero picked up a team-high 44 digs while adding 12 assists, five aces, and two kills as the Giants defeated Alfred State College and Norwich University, while falling to MIT at the Morrisville State Tournament over the weekend.
