What were some of your goals for this season? “For the team, to have a winning record and make it far in the playoffs. For myself, I wanted to be Athlete of the Week.”

Did you work on anything specific in the offseason to get ready for this year? “Just working on my shooting and playing on travel teams.”

The team lost its top two leading scorers to graduation, are those shoes that you’ve tried to fill on offense? “Definitely, we lost most of our attack players and have a lot of young kids starting up top, too.”

How would you describe your playing style? “I like to be a leader and be vocal.”

Is there something you’re better at now than when you first started playing? “Probably finishing because all the other years I’ve played midfield, but now I’m up at top.”

Does one of your goals from last week stand out above the rest? ”My first goal against Coughlin. It tied the game and changed the momentum of the game.”

That came on a penalty kick, how do you approach that type of shot? “When I set the ball down, I usually just think one way and stick with that.”

Is there anything you’ll be working on to prepare for the playoffs? “The whole team putting more passes together and gelling better.”

What do you think the team is capable of moving forward? “I think we’re capable of going to districts because all of our games have been close. Dallas is in first place, and we lost to them in overtime.”

What’s been your favorite part of being on the team? “Just being with all my friends.”
