The Lady Tigers split the matches on the court this week, bouncing back to top Valley West after falling to Dallas in the opener.

On Tuesday, Dallas picked up its first win of the year, taking the final two sets after Tunkhannock drew even after two.

The Mountaineers won the first set, 25-17, before the Tigers battled back to win 25-22. Dallas concluded the match wit 25-18 and 25-11 wins.

Tunkhannock got 20 digs, eight kills and three aces from Dana Macko. Lily Miller added eight digs and four kills, Ava Tyler chipped in nine digs, three aces and two kills.

Macko spiked nine aces and three kills to go with seven digs, helping the Tigers defend their home court in a straight sweep over the winless Spartans on Monday.

Rani Shrivastava added 12 assists and five aces for Tunkhannock. Ariel Vikara had four aces and eight digs. Lily Miller had five kills.

Tunkhannock topped out over Wyoming Valley West 25-16, 25-14, and 25-13.

The match evens the Lady Tigers at 1-1 for the season.

Tunkhannock heads to Wyoming Area today for a matchup with the Warriors.
