The Elk Lake boys soccer team took two losses to open the season, but did capture the Northeast Bradford tournament Championship over the weekend with two wins.

At Blue Ridge on Tuesdsay, Sept. 3, Elk Lake’s Caden Ramey tied the game early in the first half.

But the Warriors couldn’t come back from the Raiders offensive onslaught, which scored three consecutive goals in six minutes.

In their home opener on Thursday, the Warriors couldn’t stop a Forest City barrage of goals, and fell 7-1 to the visiting Foresters. Alex Bradish scored on a penalty kick for Elk Lake.

The season continued for the boys team on Tuesday, after this paper published, against Carbondale.
